explorhino

Every week, Tuesday to Sunday, the explorhino Science Center invites visitors to explore and learn about exciting phenomena in the fields of science, mathematics and technology through over 120 experiments on 1,200 square meters of exhibition space.

The explorhino Science Center goes back to an initiative of the Grimminger family.

In the explorhino experiment museum, the focus is on independent exploration of phenomena, experiencing and learning, touching and grasping. As a private visitor you can just drop by and visit the exhibition; only groups and school classes should register.

Developing new ideas - promoting culture

KESSLER + CO Foundation For Education and Culture

The purpose of the Kessler + Co Foundation for Education and Culture is to promote STEM education in the Ostalb region and to support the cultural landscape of the Swabian Alb region. In addition to the explorhino School Lab and explorhino Science Center, the foundation also supports two endowed chairs at Aalen University. Moreover, the EXPLOR project set up by the foundation is intended to give newcomers to research, such as newly appointed professors, the opportunity to test the feasibility of new ideas at short notice and without a great deal of bureaucracy.

In addition to the area of education, which is the main focus of support, the foundation's purpose is to promote cultural institutions and events in the area of the Swabian Alb region. Events such as the European Church Music Festival in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the Aalen Jazz Festival or the Heidenheim Opera Festival are supported. But the foundation also supports cultural institutions such as the UNESCO Global Geopark Swabian Alb or the preservation of culturally significant buildings.
